What I did on my Summer Vacation

Posted by CDG Interactive under CDG Clients

I've been remiss in telling you what some of our fabulous hospitality clients are up to this summer! It's one of my favorite things about working with hotels, is I get to learn about all the specials they are running before everyone else -- and the best way to get a good deal (hotel websites are almost always best).

Hilton Washington Embassy Row
Our local DC hilton is running a special promotion this summer. They are giving away a free weekend stay every month of the summer, and all you have to do is sign up for their mailing list to be entered. Don't worry, they are a very respectable hotel and don't spam. Plus, they mentioned today that they are running ridiculously low rates next week. So if you are paying more than $199 for your hotel in DC next week, cancel and make a reservation at the Hilton Washington Embassy Row! Did I mention the amazing rooftop pool at the Hilton Washington Embassy Row? Seriously -- it's just silly.

Radisson Chicago Hotel and Suites
Our friends at the Radisson Chicago Hotel and Suites are running a really fun promotion this summer. It's a "Blockbuster Summer" in Chicago! They've combined a good deal on a room at the hotel with a guide to Chicago movie locations,Hollywood on Lake Michigan, and a DVD of Ferris Bueller so you can go visit all the locations in this classic 80s flick. If you haven't seen it -- shame on you! We even helped them put together a interactive map of movie locations in Chicago. I'd love to add more, so if you have suggestions -- leave a comment with the name of the movie and the address of the location!

Hotel Maison de Ville
Our friends down in New Orleans' French Quarter are still going strong. I know NOLA is hot in the summer, but it's a great time to visit. There's tons of festivals and not only are the hotel prices lower in the summer -- but it's also a lot easier to get a reservation at the best restaurants. I actually had the chance to stay at the Maison de Ville's Audubon Cottages a couple of months ago, and all I can say is -- they don't need to pay me to say nice things about them. It has to be one of the most amazing places I've ever stayed. Okay, now I'm craving those darn croissants they serve for breakfast. I wonder if they'll send me some? (hint, hint)

Well, it's Friday at 4:54 p.m. -- I think I'll have to finish this up later....
